Need to update Flash styles
I see the title of this post is "New Styles," but I think the focus is on updating existing styles to work with the newer Flash Players. The most recent templates were built to work with Player 8. Simply publishing as Player 10 is not an option as some functions break (image multiple choice for example.) The AS3 template still needs lots of work - especially with the quiz functions.
The strength of "Pro Form" is in the open-ness of the software - any aspect of the template can be customized in Flash. Changing the graphics is easy, programming the core functions is what I leave up to the experts. Adding more functionality to your product to take advantage of web based authoring and collaboration is awesome, don't forget to update the core.
Thanks for a great product,
You mentioned the AS3 style still needs lots of work - especially with the quiz functions. Can you be more specific of the types of things needed there?
I did open tickets in the Zendesk as well and Matt Mower has been very helpful in getting me through most of them. Here is the list I still have "open."
The AS3 Quiz does not restrict the "Back" button in Test mode (Vs. Review mode). So, students can go back to previous questions.
The AS3 Quiz Title can not be set using the appropriate field in Litmos Author.
The AS3 Quiz "Printing" button does not actually print or open a print dialog.
The AS3 Quiz will not allow a passing score after a failing attempt. For example, after failing the quiz the student leaves the quiz page and returns to retake the quiz and any score will result in a "failing score" message.
And lastly, not related to the quiz; the video playback page always scales video down to 320x240 size. I can't find a way around it.
Thank you following up on my concerns - I appreciate your help.
Thanks. I'm going to get these added to our queue.
These updates you requested to the AS3 style have been released. You can give them a try and see how it works.
I just revisited the AS3 template again and it looks like you guys did a great job of fixing these issues! And in a timely fashion! I still have a ticket open on subsequent quiz attempts, and look forward to using the AS3 template soon.
Thanks for your help!
I will add that one to our list of fixes for the next release.
I was just doing some testing and issue 9615 is also fixed. This is the issue that if you fail a quiz, you can't pass.
